I never asked about insects? Are there any? Is this windows or just open?

This is just an open porch. There are very few insects, you can sit outside in the evenings and not be bothered at all. The only mosquitoes I have run into have been in the showers. If for some reason you are sleeping in the dirt then you have more problems - sand fleas and the like.
