It is mostly sheet metal damage but it did tear off a major bracket that we have to get from the states. It has really killed our maintenance flow since this aircraft was right in the middle and now we are having to skip other aircraft past it. With only eight it is a delicate balance.

David,
I assume that Wendi has passed on the news…or I believe I even sent it to your email?, but Jen I are southward bound in January. I gave my letter of resignation a couple of weeks ago but will work through the first week in Jan 2008. We plan to spend about 6 months in South America – mostly Bolivia. Exciting, but a little overwhelming trying to plan everything…one advantage of the army is that you have a lot of people working together to coordinate these things…but I guess that also equals a lot more bureaucracy!! Thanks for keeping us updated…even though I don’t respond often, I really do appreciate it and this last week I have even done a better job of praying for you. You are far away and thus I admit that I sometimes forget to pray for you, but not for too long! Jen and I will probably start a blog of our own – give you someone’s blog to follow other than your own. Any suggestions for how we should set it up? I managed to get a fair amount of hiking in during September (the last really good hiking month). I climbed Mt. Adams, did a hike through the Enchantments…near Mt. Stuart, and did a two day trip in the Goat Rocks Wilderness along the Pacific Crest Trail. All incredible trips and ones you need to do at some point. Maybe when I set up our blog I can post a few photos from the trips as a “starter” entry so that you can see them. Take care of yourself and remember to set aside time each day to pray and be with God. As of late he has impressed upon me that I am not in control. This is a good thing, but one that is hard for me to accept at times. – Andrew

Hey bro,

Thanks for the comments. Wendi did send me the letter and I am a complete slacker for not responding sooner :) I kind of figured it was far enough away that I would get back to you before it got too far along. Those hikes sound wonderful - just like last time over here, beside family what I miss most is the country. I think a blog is a great idea for you guys and this site has done worked pretty good so far. It's fairly basic which is what you want when the internet service is slow. I agree with you so much about praying. Your comment about being in control is right in line with something Wendi and I have been talking about the last couple of days - I will fill you in on the details later (it is a sermon series we have been listening to together). I am hoping to actually call you on the phone soon (send me an email with a good time). Take care
