Back by request - this is a battlefield update. It might be a little hard to see but if you enlarge it it will become clear. Steve went with an insurgents v. army motif. The insurgents are on the left as you can tell by their mis-matched uniforms, use of vehicles and giant animals. They are basically throwing everything they have at us. The environment has definitely been a factor in this battle as we seem to lose men during every dust storm.

Thank you for restored battle scene. For dramatic interest does Steve ever have the insurgents gain ground? I would like to see the rat over-run some friendly territory...only to be repulsed by a terrific air assault. Is there any way he coulds arrange an air assault? (Not to suggest that soldiers would actually hold small planes and make bombing noises..although that would be interesting (: But some arrangement of small planes suspended? I can see great possibilities here. Does the miitary have people who are assigned morale boosting activities? As their primary job? The occasional loss of troops to dust storms adds realism that is interesting. (:

Wow - you do ask for a lot :) I think your interest far exceeds Steve's but those are some good ideas. But yes, the military does have people assigned for morale boosting. They are all civilians but they run the MWR (morale, welfare and recreation) sites on base. And yes we do have them over here. They coordinate to bring in the different shows around the holidays and provide things like movie nights, poker nights, sports and the like.
